Art Gallery and Museum.

On the 13th of June me and my class went to the art gallery. We all learned about ancient Maori and about some paintings that showed illusions. 

My favourite art piece was one from "Gordon Walters". He said that it was not supposed to be korus but an illusion. When we got back to the class at the gallery we made a waka huia. A waka huia is where a chief keeps his feathers. He does not put it on the ground but hangs it up from the rafters.  The museum was pretty close to the gallery so we walked.(It was pretty tiring)

We were a bit early when we got there so we sat down inside and waited for our instructor to come.When our instructor came he told us his name and told us what we were going to do. His name was Anthony and we were learning about solar energy. 

He took us to a room that had loads of space equipment. It had a machine that tells you how ma

ny days it will take you to get to the moon only by running. Mine was 1,356 days. There was also a big yellow ball.When I first saw it I thought it was just a plain old ball but it wasn't. It was a sun that you were allowed to go in and you could here what the sound made. It made this eerie noise. When we had about 20 minutes in the room we went in to Anthony's class were we learned about solar cars. We made miniature solar cars. Anthony gave us a little solar panel. We all worked together and it turned out pretty good. In my group was Mya, Eadie, Abi H, Abbey P, Mackenzie ,  Ava and me. We called our car Mr Pushy. When it was time to leave we said thank you to Anthony and made our way out. When we went outside to go to the bus it was drizzling. I liked the bus ride back because I had a nice nap. When did you go to the Art Gallery and Museum?
