Poetry

In writing I have used a poem by James K. Baxter as a starting point to write my own holiday poem. I hope you like it.

Zoe’s James K Baxter Poem
Halswell  Pool was usual enough;
It had wooden tables, unusual bench chairs, a huge sparkly pool, slippery slide, and even a lifeguard doing his job sitting on the stand scanning the area
My Mum, Dad, Jamie and I did what  swimmers do -
eating, swimming, playing, laughing, and splashing about.
Doing nothing important.

  1. Would you like to be a life guard keeping an eye on all those people splashing around?
